Transport for NSW is looking for talented individuals, entrepreneurs and innovative start-up organisations that can take an innovation challenge and turn it into a successful business.

The Learner Log Book Innovation Challenge is your opportunity to create a digital solution as an alternative to the current print-based NSW learner log book.

To participate in a collaborative and creative design process, where you will be supported by a leading Sydney-based incubator, funding and SME access.

Those chosen from the Innovation Challenge will join an incubator program, co-design with key government agencies and will receive support as they progress through the program, working towards a viable solution.

The apps will need to digitally capture the information required in today’s paper based log books, removing the need for ongoing calculations.

The apps will also need to be designed so as to not distract learner drivers or their supervisors and ensure learners abide by all applicable road rules relating to the use of mobile phones in vehicles. Learner drivers are not permitted to use their mobile phones whilst in a vehicle.

Transport for NSW and Roads and Maritime Service will work with the chosen start-ups to deliver the new apps later this year.
