Data breach incident impacting hospitality venues in NSW

Published

The NSW Government is aware of an incident involving unauthorised access to customer information held by an IT provider which is used by hospitality venues across both NSW and the ACT.

We are concerned about the potential impact on individuals and encourage clubs and hospitality venues to notify patrons whose information is affected.

The NSW Government understands ClubsNSW has engaged with impacted clubs and advised these venues are working towards notifying patrons whose personal information may have been compromised.

NSW Police are investigating the unauthorised data access.

ID Support NSW is also available to help those affected reduce their risk of identity theft following this incident.

NSW Government agencies are working with Commonwealth and ACT Government agencies as part of the response.

Any customers who believe they may have been affected can contact ID Support NSW by phone on 1800 001 040 or via their online form. The team is available Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm.
